This Jeep is a 2 owner me and my dad I have put over 10 k in upgrading the engine it has a comp cams performance camshaft heads have been redone I change the to a 4 barrel carb it got a new quick flue 450 cfm carb and fender well headers new hei distributor new timing chain and lifters cam has a 450 lift and 298 duration Taylor wires new velocity… See more stack are cleaner new 5000 lbs wench new brakes and master cylinder it’s a 3 speed transmission all locking differentials Eaton new Warner locking hubs new 3 inch lift springs and rancho shocks aftermarket heater k&n flue pump all new body mounts no rust it needs sandblasted and repainted I did a shit job trying to do it at home new clutch and bearing it’s got 33 inch off-road tyres it’s a high step to get into this is probably the only tuxedo park in the country I’m sure of that this style Jeep never made it to NZ or Australian shores it’s not a army Jeep either it’s was designed to be a suv family adventure off road vehicle it’s scope of safes in the late 60 ‘S was a every day utility vehicle that had all the chrome trim originally came out with a soft top my dad put the hard top on for elk hunting in the state of Oregon that’s where I imported form I have all the proper paperwork for VINing original documents like bill of sale import information and ownership title it needs a windshield I broke the other one trying to put it in myself like a dumb ass there is one in the country in manakau it’s really needs a new flue tank you can get that at summit racing in American for 150 nzd basically everything is new even the starter and battery it will pull the front wheels of the ground when you run it up and dump the clutch it’s got a 225 cubic inch 3.8 litre engine it’s called a dauntless Buick engine but built by Jeep, Jeep bought the tooling from Buick to manufacture the 225 dauntless engine in numbers and it’s an odd fire engine not like the Buick even fire 2.8 engine it’s called the dauntless because of its massive 50 lbs flywheel for more low end torque you can actually idle this Jeep over any steep as fuck hill or obstacles huge rocks and lots of powerful top end for mud bogs and rivers it will travel at 120ks with the ratios i have 4:11 ratios now in the diff Dayna 60 front and rear it’s loud sounds like a airplane going down the road you will fell very Spartan rolling in that bad ass 4x4 CJ 5 it’s got a tow hitch I designed for it it’s well made a citified new wiper motors 3 speed it’s missing back glass one of the stupid worthless fucks working for me dropped it and don’t know where to have one made it’s got Holden seats the original ones got stolen some new aftermarket seats would look nice I have a new steering wheel with horn coming from eBay and windshield rubbers it’s also has matching valve springs to match the cam specifications and seals ., and retainers I did some light port work to the intake manifold and heads to port match the runners it’s been painted under neath and chassis blacked well I don’t really think it’s going to get much interest for the price I want for it bot honestly that’s cheep for such so much Jeep history right here and you will be one in a million they only made 566 tuxedo park cj 5 Jeep that year in 1967 it’s 54 years old now and still very cool to have parked up to take out for a bit of hell raising and to the wood hill forest to run down a pig on a narrow hog trail
